Word formation plays a significant role in expanding vocabulary. The main objectives of the word formation process are to form new words with the same root by deploying different rules or processes. For example, by learning the affixes (prefixes and suffixes) that can be added to a root word, you can create many new words that are related in meaning. This can help you understand the meaning of new words that you encounter in your reading and listening acitvities.

Zu den meisten allgemeinen Themen verfügen Sie über einen ausreichend großen Wortschatz und Sie beherrschen die Grammatik recht gut.

This is a course to help you write effective business emails in English. We will be looking at how to - differentiate between formal and informal language - address the addressee, open and close emails - give good and bad news, request and give information, attach files - make and reply to inquiries, make and respond to suggestions - change and confirm arrangements - make and deal with complaints, make apologies, ask for payment - be direct and brief, be indirect and polite, check understanding. By the end of this course, you will be able to apply key language to different types of emails.

Für fortgeschrittene Lernende mit guten Grundkenntnissen (nach Abschluss eines A2-Lehrwerks): Kurse der Stufe B1 bauen Ihre sprachlichen Fähigkeiten in einem normalen Lerntempo solide und vor allem kommunikativ aus. Sie festigen Ihre Grammatikkenntnisse und erweitern Ihren aktiven Wortschatz mit interessanten Themen, Texten und ggf. kleinen Lektüren.
Für Lernende mit fortgeschrittenen Sprachkenntnissen: Neben aktuellen Texten werden nach Wunsch auch kleinere Lektüren eingeflochten, um das freie Sprechen und den Wortschatz zu üben.
Dieser Kurs setzt geringe Kenntnisse voraus und bietet Ihnen einen Einstieg in die japanische Sprache und Kultur. Schritt für Schritt erlernen Sie die Grundzüge der Silbenalphabete Hiragana und Katakana sowie der Kanji-Schriftzeichen für alltagsnahe Sprechsituationen.
Am Ende von Kursniveau A1 kann man vertraute, alltägliche Ausdrücke und ganz einfache Sätze verstehen und verwenden. Der Kurs beschäftigt sich mit den Kanji-Schriftzeichen und setzt Vorkenntnisse (vier bis fünf Semester oder vergleichbar) voraus, aber die vorausgegangenen Inhalte werden begleitend wiederholt und in alltagsnahen Sprechsituationen geübt und vertieft.
